Daniel Paul Ashley

I’m a fourth-year medical student at the University of Queensland, Australia-Ochsner Clinical School in New Orleans, Louisiana and candidate for dermatology residency.

“My experiences—from working in remote villages in Peru and Costa Rica to working in free clinics in my hometown of Fresno, California to going to medical school in Australia—completely changed my view of medicine. Working within different healthcare systems and treating people from all walks of life made me realize that I don’t want to just provide the best care for my patients; I want to help make sure all people can access the care they need.”
